Nichole M. Waltz, Partner

Nichole M. Waltz earned her Juris Doctorate from the DePaul University College of Law in 2001, with a concentration in litigation. Licensed in Illinois since 2001, Nichole has spent her career in the courtroom, representing individuals and businesses in a wide range of legal areas, including family, civil, commercial and criminal law.

Nichole is highly involved in the legal community, spending a significant amount of time and effort on pro bono matters. She has also held various positions with the Northwest Suburban Bar Association.

Mildred V. Palmer, Partner

Mildred "Millie" V. Palmer graduated cum laude from the University of Florida College of Law in 1990, with a concentration in taxation and estate planning.

After graduation, she went to work for Ernst and Young as a tax attorney in the Special Services Group, while continuing to take LL.M. classes at Chicago Kent.

In 1992, she moved from Ernst and Young to Gardner Carton and Douglas, where she practiced tax law. As a tax attorney with a large firm, Millie worked in a number of areas, including taxation, charitable giving, corporate law and estate planning. During this time, she also served as the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division's Tax Law Chair and as a CNN tax law correspondent. In the summer of 1998, Millie left Gardner, Carton and Douglas to open her own firm.

Millie's practice is now divided into four areas: Estate planning, wills and trusts, probate, and estate and trust administration. By bringing her personal commitment to service and excellence to each client, Millie helps individuals not only identify and meet their objectives, but to position themselves to surpass their future goals.

Millie's philosophy is based on providing services that are high-quality and reasonably priced, based on individual goals and grounded in sound theory. She combines classic tax law training and a big-firm work ethic with a passion for practicing law in a meaningful way.

Susan L. Dawson, Partner

Susan L. Dawson earned her Juris Doctorate from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2000, with a concentration in corporate/business law and taxation.

Licensed in Illinois since 2000, Susan has made it her career to represent businesses, business owners, entrepreneurs and employees. She has a wide range of experience, having worked with clients on the local, national and international levels. Susan delivers a commitment to service which surpasses clients' expectations, meeting tight deadlines and responding to pressing matters as they arise.

Susan is also heavily involved in the community, dedicating significant time and effort to supporting a number of non-profit entities in and around the Northwest Suburbs.

Lynn T. Palac, Associate

Lynn T. Palac gained her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in 1999, with a concentration in criminal litigation. She joined the Cook County State Attorney's Office after graduation and has litigated a wide range of criminal cases. Lynn has appeared in court daily for the past ten years, dealing with everything from traffic violations and DUI to drug and violent felony criminal cases. Her experience as a prosecutor has put her in the perfect position to evaluate charges and find how to best defend her clients against them.

Lynn listens to her clients, providing them with firsthand knowledge of what will happen in court and how they should handle their legal matters. If needed, she is able to negotiate the best plea agreement possible and is a zealous advocate when litigating hearings or trials.
